10 Pakistanis, Including 5 Women, Arrested for Begging in UAE During Ramadan

UAE authorities have arrested 10 Pakistani nationals, including five women, as part of a continued crackdown on begging. The Pakistani embassy has been informed, and arrangements are being made for their deportation.

Among those arrested, three women are from Vehari and two from Lahore. The five men belong to different regions, including DG Khan, Bahawalnagar, and Peshawar.

Due to the increasing problem of begging, UAE officials have tightened visa policies for Pakistanis and urged Pakistani authorities to take stricter measures in monitoring travelers.

To facilitate their return, emergency passports have been issued, and upon arrival in Pakistan, the detainees may face legal action.
