Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervez Elahi says that steps are being taken to eliminate the usury system across the province.
On Sunday, December 4, Ulamai Karai met the Chief Minister of Punjab in Lahore. The meeting discussed the promotion of the basic principles of Islam and the implementation of Sharia laws.
While appreciating the role of scholars, Parvez Elahi said that the entire work is done directly with the prayers and blessings of scholars.
He also said that a penalty of 10 years has been set for taking interest on a private level, while laws have been passed to believe in the end of prophecy.
