Pakistan is hosting the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 after 29 years, with the tournament starting today.
The opening match will take place at Karachi’s National Stadium, where defending champions Pakistan will play against New Zealand.
Matches will be held in four cities: Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Dubai.
To celebrate the start of the tournament, the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) will put on a special air show featuring JF-17 and F-16 fighter jets.
The total prize money for the tournament is $6.9 million, with the winning team receiving $2.24 million.
Adding to the excitement, the official anthem of the Champions Trophy, “Jeeto Baazi Khel Ke,” has been released, sung by Atif Aslam.
