“30% of New Clients are Younger than 40 Years Old”: Ferrari CEO

Ferrari is in a tricky situation. Their stock price went up a lot in the past year, even beating companies like Ford and General Motors. But this success has put pressure on them to sell more cars.

The thing is, Ferrari’s brand is all about being special and rare. They don’t make many cars on purpose to keep their value high. Last year, they made more cars, about 18.5% more than the year before, but people still want them like crazy.

Some folks have to wait for three years or even more to get a new Ferrari, and some can’t even get on the waiting list because there aren’t enough cars. The founder of Ferrari, Enzo Ferrari, once said they’d make one less car than what people want. But right now, they could sell a lot more cars than they make.

They are working on making hybrid and electric cars in a new factory, but we don’t know how much more they will make. Ferrari is still getting younger customers who want their cars. About 30% of their new customers are under 40 years old.

So, people still really want a Ferrari, even though it’s not easy to get one. Ferrari wants buying a Ferrari to be a bit hard and quick because it’s a big dream for many people.
