Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari announced that under the province’s largest Nigehban Ramazan Package, 4.2 million families will receive Rs. 10,000 each.
The benefit will be provided without the need for a PIN or any service charges, making the process easier and faster for everyone. Families who have missed out on receiving their payments can contact the “Maryam Ko Batain” helpline at 1000 for quick verification and assistance.
The funds can be withdrawn conveniently through ATMs, and the government has emphasized that strict action will be taken against anyone attempting illegal deductions.
To date, over 700,000 payment cards have been delivered to beneficiaries across Punjab. In addition, around 17,000 stores have been linked to the program, allowing families to use the funds for essential purchases without any hassle.
To further support people during Ramazan, the government has activated Ramazan Sahulat Bazaars throughout the province, providing affordable goods and helping families manage their household expenses.
Free Iftar arrangements have also been organized in every tehsil, ensuring that people have access to meals during the holy month.
The initiative aims to provide financial relief, support low-income families, and ensure that Ramazan is celebrated with dignity and ease.
By combining cash transfers with practical shopping support, the Nigehban Ramazan Package ensures that families can meet their daily needs comfortably. The government has encouraged beneficiaries to use the helpline if they face any issues, reinforcing transparency and accessibility throughout the program.
This large-scale effort reflects Punjab’s commitment to helping families during Ramazan while maintaining fairness, accountability, and widespread reach across the province.
