In an interesting story, the power of social media was evident as four foreign women came to Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in just one month to meet the men they had connected with online through social media apps. This news came out on Thursday.One of the women, Rosa from Mexico, aged 49, arrived in Pakistan on June 17 to marry 18-year-old Izaz Ali from Buner, KP.
Rosa and Izaz became friends on Facebook and fell in love. Rosa embraced Islam and took the name Ayesha Bibi to marry Izaz in a traditional Pashtun wedding on June 27.
After the wedding, Ayesha Bibi, who is also a permanent resident of the US, returned to Mexico on July 19. It is mentioned that the groom, Izaz, is waiting for his matriculation exam results and plans to join Ayesha Bibi in Mexico afterward.
However, despite the available documents stating her age as older than 49 years, it’s a remarkable story of love that brought people together from different countries through the use of social media.
