5,615 Pakistanis Safely Return from Iran via Gwadar and Chagai, Says Balochistan CM Sarfraz Bugti

More than 5,600 Pakistani citizens have safely returned from Iran amid rising regional tensions, according to Sarfraz Bugti. Since late February, a total of 5,615 Pakistanis have been repatriated through the Gwadar and Chagai districts, demonstrating the government’s focus on citizen safety.

The returning individuals included pilgrims, traders, and workers who were affected by the ongoing conflict in Iran. Officials said the operations were carried out efficiently, ensuring that all evacuees were transported safely across the border.

In addition to Pakistani citizens, authorities reported that over 400 foreign nationals also entered Pakistan during this period, highlighting the coordinated international effort.

Local administrations provided essential support, including food, temporary shelter, and travel assistance, to help citizens during their journey. Teams at the border worked around the clock to manage logistics, verify documents, and maintain safety protocols.

The government emphasized that border operations remain active and coordinated, with a focus on assisting all affected individuals. Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely and ensure smooth repatriation processes.

This operation reflects Pakistan’s ongoing commitment to safeguarding its citizens abroad during periods of regional instability. Officials say they will maintain similar measures if further assistance is needed in the coming weeks.
