6 Students from Sukkur Reach China on Scholarship

Six talented students from the Sukkur Division have traveled to China on a one-year exchange scholarship to pursue diploma programs. They are students of Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University of Technology and Skill Development, Khairpur Mirs, and will be studying Road and Bridge Technology (Civil) and Mechanical Technology at Yunnan Communication, Vocational and Technical College. One of the students will also be specializing in Artificial Intelligence.

Despite facing financial challenges, these students are determined to make the most of this opportunity. For example, Rashid Laghari comes from a family where his father works as a daily wage laborer, while Kamran Ali Mangrio has had to cope with the loss of parental support. Yet, their circumstances have not stopped them from pursuing their dreams.

The Vice Chancellor of the university emphasized the importance of vocational education for the youth of Sindh. He noted that there is a growing global demand for skilled workers, and programs like this scholarship offer students the chance to gain valuable skills and knowledge that can help them succeed in their careers. This opportunity represents a significant step for these students, who are not only representing their region but also working to build a brighter future for themselves and their communities.
