8 People Lost Lives as Bus Overturns on Islamabad Lahore Motorway

A terrible accident happened on the M2 Motorway near Chakwal, where eight people lost their lives and 18 others were badly injured. The accident took place near the Balkasar Interchange when a private bus overturned.

The bus was going from Rawalpindi to Lahore when its front-left tyre suddenly burst. Because of this, the driver lost control and the bus flipped over, according to officials.

Sadly, the people who died included women, children, and older passengers. Among them were 8-month-old Haider, 2-year-old Haram, 14-year-old Khadija, and 35-year-old Habiba. Most of the victims got serious head injuries, which led to their deaths.

Emergency rescue teams reached the spot quickly to help the injured. Six rescue vehicles and 25 rescue workers took part in the operation. The injured passengers were immediately moved to DHQ Hospital Chakwal for medical treatment.

Authorities are still looking into the exact cause of the accident to see if there were any other reasons behind it. This tragic accident has once again raised serious concerns about the condition of vehicles, proper maintenance, and safety on the motorways.

People are being reminded to always check their vehicles properly before long journeys, especially tyres, brakes, and other important parts. Bus companies and drivers have a big responsibility to make sure that their vehicles are safe for passengers.

This heartbreaking accident shows how one small fault, like a tyre bursting, can turn into a major tragedy. It is a reminder that road safety and regular vehicle checks must never be ignored to protect lives on the road.
