In a surprising incident reported on Friday, the manager of the Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar shrine, Zubair Baloch, is accused of organizing a bold robbery and taking away gold worth over Rs10 million.

Omar Soomro, the Sindh Caretaker Minister for Law, Religious Affairs, and Human Rights, has removed the manager from his position and instructed authorities to file a robbery case against him.

The Auqaf department revealed that an astonishing amount of Rs12,372,863 worth of gold was stolen from the revered Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar shrine in the past month.

A spokesperson for the department shared that Baloch, surprisingly, confessed to the robbery during questioning by an inquiry committee. Soomro has also directed the suspension of the manager’s pension and referred the case to the Anti-Corruption Department.
