Meanwhile, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is preparing to form the government for the third consecutive term. Despite their leader Imran Khan being in jail, he nominated Ali Amin Gandapur for the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during an informal interaction with the media.
These nominations mark significant milestones in Pakistani politics, particularly with Maryam Nawaz potentially becoming the first woman to hold the position of Chief Minister in Punjab.
