Man Shoves Over 60 Matchsticks up his Nose to Set Guinness World Record

Peter von Tangen Buskov, a 39-year-old man from Denmark, recently accomplished a remarkable feat by putting 68 matches into his nostrils, setting a new Guinness World Record for the “most matches held in nose.” He surpassed the minimum requirement of 45 matches and decided to keep going until he reached 68.

Surprisingly, von Tangen Buskov didn’t feel much discomfort during the attempt. He believes his success is due to his naturally large nostrils and flexible skin. Interestingly, he’s open to breaking his own record in the future, either by “training” his nostrils or relying on natural changes over time.

Von Tangen Buskov hopes his achievement will inspire others to pursue unique records and enjoy life’s playful side. He wants people to see the diversity of experiences available. This accomplishment joins other unconventional nose-related records recognized by Guinness World Records, highlighting human creativity and curiosity.
