Ali Amin Gandapur, supported by the Sunni Ittehad Council, has achieved a significant victory by becoming the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
His success came with an overwhelming majority, as he secured a total of 90 votes in the new provincial assembly. This landslide victory clearly indicates widespread support for Gandapur’s leadership within the assembly. In contrast, his opponent, Dr. Abdullah from PML-N, received a mere 16 votes, highlighting the substantial margin of victory.
Prior to Gandapur’s triumph, Babar Saleem Swati, also representing the Sunni Ittehad Council, secured a notable victory by being elected as the Speaker of the KP Assembly.
Swati garnered a substantial 89 votes, significantly more than his opponent, who received only 17 votes. Following his victory, Swati promptly took the oath of office as the Speaker of the assembly.
The success of both Gandapur and Swati underscores the growing influence and support enjoyed by the Sunni Ittehad Council within the political landscape of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Their victories have been met with congratulatory messages and well-wishes from fellow members of the Sunni Ittehad Council, further solidifying their position within the political arena.
