Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Was Not Given a Fair Trial: Supreme Court

The Supreme Court of Pakistan has given its final verdict on the trial and punishment of former Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, saying he wasn’t treated fairly. Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa, along with eight other judges, made this announcement after reviewing a request filed in 2011 to reconsider Bhutto’s case.

They highlighted that Bhutto’s trial didn’t follow the proper legal procedures as required by the constitution. This decision comes after nearly 12 years since the request was made by former President and PPP Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari.

The ruling sheds light on the importance of ensuring fair trials and upholding constitutional rights for all individuals, regardless of their position or status.
