Solar-Powered Street Lights to be Installed in Mansehra City

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has a plan to put up solar street lights in the city and its nearby areas. They estimate it will cost around Rs100 million.

Kamal Saleem Swati, the deputy president of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, talked about this in a meeting with village and neighborhood council chairmen. He said they have a plan to solve city problems, and putting up solar lights is a big part of it.

Swati also said that during Ramadan, they will provide clean water to areas that don’t have enough. They also want to change old water pipes in the city and nearby areas. Speaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Babar Saleem Swati has already agreed to pay for these projects.

Kamal Swati told the local government leaders that the KP government is serious about fixing problems in Hazara and other areas of the province. Basharat Ali Swati, the general secretary of chairmen Ittehad, talked about the challenges village and neighborhood council chairpersons face. He said they still don’t have enough money for development, even though the Local Government Act (Amended) 2013 says they should.
