Abu Dhabi-based Khalifa University (KU) has announced a new scholarship program for the Fall 2024 intake, catering to both UAE nationals and international students. The initiative aims to provide students an opportunity to pursue higher education in the UAE without financial constraints.
Eligibility Criteria:
Master’s Degree Program Applicants:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.0 out of 4.0 or equivalent.
- Minimum English proficiency:
- iBT TOEFL score of 91 or equivalent
- Academic IELTS score of 6.5
- 1550 EmSAT English score
- Minimum quantitative score of 150 in the GRE (all sections must be attempted).
- Two referee recommendations.
- Statement of purpose (500-1,000 words).
- Admission interview.
Doctoral Degree Program Applicants:
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 3.5 out of 4.0 (for direct Bachelor’s to PhD admission) or
- Master’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 3.25 out of 4.0.
- Minimum English proficiency:
- iBT TOEFL score of 91 or equivalent
- Academic IELTS score of 6.5
- 1550 EmSAT English score
- Minimum quantitative score of 150 in the GRE (all sections must be attempted).
- Two referee recommendations.
- Statement of purpose (500-1,000 words).
- Research statement (500-1,000 words).
- Admission interview.
Exemption from English Language Test:
- Native English speakers or graduates from an English-medium institution with an IELTS score of 6.0, TOEFL score of 79 iBT (or equivalent), or EmSAT English score of 1400 during their Bachelor’s/Master’s program.
