Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has given strict orders to crack down on the making, selling, and buying of metal strings used for kite flying.
In a meeting on Sunday to talk about the law and order situation, she told the Inspector General of Police (IGP) of Punjab to give a report every day about controlling crime and how well police officers are doing their jobs.
The CM said it’s very important to follow the law against kite flying in the province. She also said just filing a case against someone isn’t enough; they must be punished properly.
CM Maryam Nawaz also said sorry for the sad death of a young child in Sargodha because of kite flying. She told the family she feels very sad for what happened.
