Pakistan Railways has announced a significant 25% reduction in train fares for Eidul Fitr 2024, aiming to ease the travel burden for passengers heading home. This fare reduction will apply to all passenger trains, excluding Eid special trains, during the three days of Eidul Fitr.
Earlier, Pakistan Railways celebrated a remarkable achievement with its revenue soaring to Rs66 billion in the initial nine months of FY2023-24, marking a historic increase.
Meanwhile, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, chaired by Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, is scheduled to convene in Islamabad to observe the Shawwal moon sighting. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted the likelihood of the Shawwal moon being visible across the country on April 9.
