Xiaomi’s debut in the automotive industry unfolds with the SU7 sedan, unveiled on March 28 and swiftly transitioning into production at the Xiaomi Super Factory in Beijing, China.
With a capacity to manufacture 40 cars per hour, a new SU7 emerges every 76 seconds from the assembly line. This rapid pace owes to the factory’s advanced automation, boasting over 700 robots executing tasks such as installation and inspection.
Robotic precision is showcased in the body shop, where 381 robots collaborate with 20 employees, accelerating the assembly process to under 30 seconds per component.
