The Ministry of Defence in Pakistan has announced job openings for Pakistani nationals on a contract basis for one year. These positions are for a project titled “Development of ICT and Artificial Intelligence (AI) based Precision Agriculture systems utilizing dual-use Aerospace Technologies – GreenAI.” The project will take place at the National Aerospace Science and Technology Park (NASTP) in Rawalpindi and Islamabad, under the Ministry of Defence.
Available Positions:
1. Project Manager (PPS-9)
- Number of Positions: 1
- Qualification/Experience: Ph.D./MS in areas such as DSP, RADAR, Communication, Aerospace, IT, or related fields, with at least five years of relevant experience.
- Responsibilities: Leading and guiding research and development activities for GP-SAR, including project management.
2. Scientific Officer (PPS-8)
- Number of Positions: 1
- Qualification/Experience: Master’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, with three years of relevant experience.
- Responsibilities: System design and development of Agri-Verse, under the Project Manager’s guidance.
3. Senior Software Engineer (PPS-8)
- Number of Positions: 1
- Qualification/Experience: MS/BS/BE in Software, HPC, Cloud, or related fields, with 4-5 years of Cloud Native application development and QA experience.
- Responsibilities: Designing and developing cloud native applications.
4. Software Engineer (PPS-7)
- Number of Positions: 1
- Qualification/Experience: MS/BS/BE in Software, HPC, Data Science, or related fields.
- Responsibilities: Designing and developing HPC-related systems for Agri-Verse.
5. HPC Engineer (PPS-7)
- Number of Positions: 1
- Qualification/Experience: BS/BE in Software, HPC, Cloud, or related fields, with relevant experience.
- Responsibilities: System design and development for Agri-Verse under the Project Manager’s guidance.
6. HPC Cluster Admin (PPS-6)
- Number of Positions: 2
- Qualification/Experience: BS/BE/Diploma in Networks or IT Infrastructure, with one year of relevant experience in datacenter and network operations and management.
- Responsibilities: Maintaining IT infrastructure, data center operations, and cloud services under the HPC Cluster Manager.
