The highly anticipated T20 World Cup 2024 match between Pakistan and India in New York has seen a surge in ticket prices. Previously priced at $1,300, tickets are now being resold for over $2,500, almost doubling in cost.
This increase in ticket prices is due to the high demand for tickets from the large Pakistani and Indian immigrant populations in the United States and Canada.
India has a strong track record against Pakistan in T20 World Cup matches, having won six out of seven encounters, including the 2007 final and the most recent match in Melbourne in 2022.
The tournament will be held at three venues in the USA and six in the West Indies from June 1 to 29. It will kick off with a match between the USA and Canada at Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas.
It’s worth noting that England is the current reigning champion after defeating Pakistan in the 2022 final.
