Pakistan Won Asian Jujitsu U-18 Title for the First Time

Pakistan’s five-member team displayed exceptional performances at the Asian Jiu-Jitsu Championship held in Abu Dhabi from May 3rd to 8th, 2024, where they secured an impressive haul of one gold and two bronze medals.

In a thrilling final match, Muhammad Yusuf Ali and Umar Yasin secured the gold medal for Pakistan in the U-18 Duo Classic event by defeating Kazakhstan. Additionally, Isra Waseen and Kainat Arif brought home two bronze medals for Pakistan in the senior women’s category of Duo Show and Duo Classic.

Chairman of the Pakistan Ju Jitsu Federation, Khalil Ahmad Khan, extended his heartfelt congratulations to the team for their remarkable success, highlighting Pakistan’s historic achievement as the Asian champion in the U-18 category for the first time. He praised the outstanding talent showcased by Pakistani youth in the championship.

Khan also expressed gratitude to all team members and the federation for their dedication and hard work, attributing their success to the invaluable training received at the National Training Camp organized by the Pakistan Sports Board. The Director General of the Pakistan Sports Board also lauded the young players of the Pakistani team for their exceptional performance and for bringing home the gold medal.
