Mohammad Amir has secured a visa for the upcoming three-match T20I series against Ireland. The PCB’s logistics department is now actively working on arranging his flight to Dublin to ensure he arrives in time to join the team.
While there is uncertainty about his participation in the opening match, he is expected to play in the second and third matches of the series.
Initially, there were worries about Amir’s inclusion due to visa issues. His visa application faced rejection by the Ireland Embassy, despite being submitted with the team’s. However, after PCB officials, including Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, raised objections, his application was resubmitted and approved.
This news comes as a relief for both Amir and the PCB, highlighting the board’s dedication to facilitating smooth logistics for their players before important tours and tournaments.
