Google has announced a significant initiative to support AI education in Pakistan by offering 45,000 scholarships for Pakistani students. These scholarships aim to empower individuals with the latest AI skills through the Google AI Essentials course.
The Google AI Essentials course is specifically designed for beginners with no prior AI experience, providing them with essential skills to enhance productivity. It offers hands-on practice with various AI tools, enabling students to learn how to utilize AI to generate ideas and expedite daily tasks effectively.
Available on Coursera in English, the course covers topics such as writing effective prompts and using AI responsibly by recognizing potential biases. Additionally, participants have the opportunity to earn Google Career Certificates (GCC), which prepare them for entry-level jobs in fields like Data Analytics, Cybersecurity, or Digital Marketing, providing practical experience in applying AI to workplace scenarios.
In collaboration with the Pakistan Freelancers Association (PAFLA), Google has also launched several programs to assist freelancers in enhancing their skills, further contributing to the growth of the AI ecosystem in Pakistan.
