Pakistan Airports to Install E-Gates for Faster Immigration Process

Pakistan’s Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) is set to introduce e-gates at major airports to speed up immigration processes, aiming to meet global standards.

These advanced e-gates will first be installed at Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad airports, allowing passengers to scan their passports for quick clearance. This initiative will significantly reduce wait times and enhance travel efficiency for passengers.

The PCAA has invited technology firms to bid for the installation of these e-gates, with a deadline set for August 13. By implementing this new technology, the PCAA seeks to improve the overall travel experience, ensuring smoother and faster processing for international travelers.

The introduction of e-gates is part of Pakistan’s broader effort to modernize its airport infrastructure and align with international best practices. This move is expected to benefit millions of passengers, making their travel more convenient and efficient.
