Good News! Sindh Govt Announces Free Electricity for Consumers Using Up to 100 Units

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has announced a plan to provide solar-powered electricity to off-grid users in Sindh. This initiative aims to support those who currently do not have access to the main electricity grid.

In addition, on-grid users who consume between 50 and 100 units of electricity will receive it for free. This measure is intended to help reduce the energy costs for low-consumption households.

Energy Minister Nasir Shah highlighted that 80,000 households in Sindh use about 50 megawatts of power each month. Furthermore, there are 2.6 million households in the province that are off-grid. Out of these, 500,000 households are eligible to receive solar energy.

Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has instructed the energy minister to develop detailed proposals for creating solar parks and home solar systems. This initiative is part of the government’s broader effort to enhance energy access and promote sustainable energy solutions in Sindh.

By focusing on solar energy, the government aims to provide a reliable and eco-friendly source of electricity, especially for those who currently lack it. The development of solar parks and home systems will play a crucial role in achieving this goal, ensuring that more households can benefit from clean energy.
