Rawalpindi Turns into Garbage City, Road Blockades Halt Waste Collection for Three Days

Rawalpindi is facing chaos as garbage continues to pile up throughout the city. For the third day in a row, the district administration and police have sealed all major roads, making it impossible for the Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC) to carry out its work.

Because of this, trash is piling up everywhere, creating serious health concerns for residents. Overflowing garbage bins and heaps of discarded waste are becoming common sights, and the growing amount of trash has attracted pests, which only makes the situation worse.

The foul smell from the garbage has spread, especially in areas near local markets, making life difficult for those who live and work nearby.

Adding to the problem, there is rain in the forecast. Citizens are worried that if it rains, the waste could spread even more, causing greater health risks. Many people are frustrated with the administration’s failure to handle the situation properly. In response, residents have planned protests to take place today, demanding that the authorities take quick action to solve the garbage issue.

The people of Rawalpindi are calling for urgent measures to clear the waste and prevent further health risks, hoping that their protests will push the administration to respond.
