OGDCL Announces Job Openings in Pakistan

OGDCL, a prominent exploration and production (E&P) company, is inviting applications for the position of Deputy Chief Reservoir Engineer. This position, open in EG-V grade, is suited for highly skilled professionals in reservoir engineering, offering a chance to work with one of Pakistan’s leading organizations in the oil and gas sector.

Qualification and Experience Requirements

Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Petroleum & Gas Engineering, recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC). Additionally, applicants must have:

  • 10 years of experience in the E&P sector as a Reservoir Engineer, including 5 years in reservoir simulation involving Black Oil and Compositional models.
  • A thorough understanding of reservoir dynamic modeling, enhanced oil recovery (EOR) and improved oil recovery (IOR) techniques, and hydraulic and acid fracturing for both conventional and unconventional reservoirs.
  • Expertise in simulation software like INTERSECT, Petrel (RE), and Eclipse, with skills to construct models integrating geological data.
  • Proven experience in production optimization and a strong ability to revive brown fields using innovative technologies in hydrocarbon exploitation.

  • Contract Duration: The initial contract is for three years, extendable by mutual consent.

  • Foreign Degrees: Candidates with foreign qualifications must provide an equivalency certificate from HEC.
