Bachaapreneur, an Initiative by Bachaa Party to Empower Child Entrepreneurs in Pakistan This Children’s Day

Entrepreneurship is a key driver of economic growth and innovation. Pakistan is home to one of the youngest populations in the world, presenting an invaluable opportunity to redefine the country’s future. Recognizing this immense talent and the need to nurture it, Bachaa Party launched the Grand Bachaapreneur Campaign, a one-of-a-kind initiative in collaboration with NIC Karachi, NIC Islamabad, and the LUMS Center for Entrepreneurship. The campaign aims to empower young entrepreneurs by providing them with a platform to showcase their entrepreneurial skills.

What is the Bachaapreneur Campaign?

Bachaa Party, driven by its vision to “be the best part of everyone’s childhood,” is renowned for its impactful social initiatives aimed at improving the lives of children in Pakistan. One such initiative is Bachaapreneur, an empowering platform designed to give young entrepreneurs recognition on Bachaa Party’s platforms and an opportunity to display their businesses at Bachaa Party stores.

The initial phase of the Bachaapreneur was a resounding success. Many talented entrepreneurs came forward and expressed their interest in this empowering initiative.

This year, Bachaa Party elevated the Bachaapreneur Campaign to a nationwide level. By collaborating with NIC Karachi, NIC Islamabad, and the LUMS Center for Entrepreneurship. Hundreds of budding entrepreneurs applied, and the top 10 from each city, Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore were selected to pitch their ideas to a panel of judges for a chance to win cash prizes and display their businesses at Bachaa Party store.

The initiative turned out to be a massive success. It discovered many innovative young entrepreneurs with unique business ideas. A young entrepreneur with a creative doll apparel design business, one with innovative build-and-craft toys, and another offering organic skincare products and participants with many more creative ideas participated in this year’s mega Bachaapreneur initiative.

Why Entrepreneurship Matters for Kids

Entrepreneurship isn’t just about starting a business as a means of livelihood, it’s a learning journey with the potential to teach numerous life skills, such as communication, financial literacy, problem-solving, innovation, critical thinking, decision-making, and teamwork. Events like the Grand Bachaapreneur are designed to help kids learn these invaluable skills from an early age. By engaging in real-world business scenarios, these young minds gain invaluable exposure to practical challenges and opportunities.

Bachaapreneur Success Stories

Emaan Danish, Pakistan’s youngest environmentalist and founder of the eco-friendly doll, is a proud Bachaapreneur. Emaan’s eco-friendly doll, Fizza, is supported by Bachaa Party and is available at every Bachaa Party outlet. The proceeds from Fizza go toward running a climate education portal, accessible to everyone.

Participants aren’t just competing for grand cash prizes and a chance to showcase their businesses at a Bachaa Party store, they’re building confidence, learning skills, and gaining a first-hand understanding of entrepreneurship. Initiatives like this transform talented children into future leaders who can navigate challenges with innovation and determination and contribute in our economy.
