Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has announced an ambitious plan to distribute 35,000 laptops to students across the province within 90 days. This initiative is part of the Chief Minister’s Laptop and Merit Scholarship Program, which aims to support students in their educational journey.
The program will provide state-of-the-art Core i7, 13th-generation laptops to deserving students. It includes 2,000 laptops for minority students and rewards top performers from Matriculation and Intermediate exams. Priority will be given to students studying in fields like Computer Science, Medicine, Engineering, and Agriculture.
In addition to laptops, the program will award scholarships to 40,000 students, including 18,000 female students. These scholarships will be distributed to 30,000 students from public institutions and 10,000 from private institutions. The initiative especially focuses on empowering students from Southern Punjab, ensuring greater access to education for underserved areas.
This program reflects the government’s commitment to promoting education and supporting talented students. By equipping young learners with advanced technology and financial aid, the initiative aims to enhance their learning experience and prepare them for the future. It also emphasizes inclusivity by recognizing minority students and female learners.
With a focus on academic excellence and equal opportunities, the Chief Minister’s Laptop and Merit Scholarship Program is set to make a significant impact on the education sector in Punjab. Students are encouraged to take full advantage of this opportunity to advance their studies and achieve their goals.
