Cellphone services have been fully restored in Rawalpindi and Islamabad, but internet services remain partially suspended.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi earlier stated that mobile data and Wi-Fi services would only be suspended in areas facing security concerns. In other regions, services would continue as usual.
Reports have also revealed that internet services were affected in other major cities, including Lahore and Faisalabad. The disruptions impacted access to popular social media platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, and WhatsApp, particularly in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
The restoration of mobile services has brought some relief to residents and businesses, but the partial suspension of internet services continues to create challenges for communication and online activities. Authorities have not yet provided a clear timeline for when internet services will be fully restored across all affected areas.
For now, users in the twin cities will need to rely on restored cellphone services while waiting for a complete return to normalcy.
