PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi Offers Specialized Cricket Training for Saudi Players

PCB, Mohsin Naqvi, has extended an offer to train Saudi cricketers during his visit to Riyadh.

He met with Prince Saud bin Mishal Al-Saud, the Chairman of the Saudi Arabia Cricket Federation, to discuss ways to promote cricket and support the growth of local players. Naqvi emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to helping Saudi Arabia build its cricketing infrastructure and strengthen the sport in the region.

As part of the collaboration, Naqvi invited Prince Saud to visit Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy in 2024. He also suggested a player exchange program and offered to send Pakistani coaches to Saudi Arabia to support cricket development efforts.

Saudi officials expressed their appreciation for the PCB’s support and highlighted the progress of cricket in the kingdom, mentioning that around 18,000 players are currently part of their cricketing setup.

The meeting marked a step toward closer cooperation between the two countries in the field of cricket. With Pakistan’s extensive experience in the sport and Saudi Arabia’s growing interest, the collaboration aims to boost cricket’s popularity and development in the region.

This initiative showcases the shared vision of both nations to expand the global reach of cricket while fostering stronger ties through sports diplomacy.
