Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif has shared uplifting news for students achieving over 65% marks, announcing a plan to distribute laptops as a reward for their academic performance. This initiative aims to encourage students to continue excelling in their education.
During the Honhaar Scholarship distribution ceremony at Government College Women’s University Sialkot, Maryam Nawaz Sharif revealed that the first shipment of laptops has already arrived.
She stated that these laptops are the best available in the market, selected specifically to meet students’ needs. She assured the students that the laptops would be handed over soon, with her personally overseeing the distribution.
The Chief Minister also announced plans to increase the annual number of Honhaar Scholarships. Currently, 30,000 scholarships are distributed each year, but she has directed authorities to raise this number to 50,000 in the next budget.
This expansion will also extend eligibility to second- and third-year students, broadening the program’s reach and impact.
As part of her broader vision for youth development, Maryam Nawaz Sharif shared that one lakh e-bikes will be provided free of cost to students in Punjab. She urged the students to remain focused on their education and not be swayed by divisive rhetoric.
Emphasizing the importance of patriotism, she encouraged the youth to stay loyal to the country and resist actions that could harm the nation.
In her remarks at Islamia University Bahawalpur during the Honhaar Scholarship launch for the Bahawalpur Division, she highlighted the importance of fostering unity and education, stating that hatred only leads to destruction.
She reaffirmed her government’s commitment to building an inclusive and educated society, ensuring opportunities for all.
With these initiatives, Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif is setting a strong example of prioritizing education and youth empowerment in the province.
