Toss Delayed Due to Fog as Pakistan Faces West Indies in First Test

Fog delayed the start of the first Test match between Pakistan and the West Indies in Multan on Friday. The toss, originally set for 9:00 am, had to be postponed because of poor weather conditions.

Pakistan is aiming to finish the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 on a strong note as they face the West Indies in this two-match series.

This is a historic occasion for the West Indies, as they are playing a Test match in Pakistan for the first time since December 2006. Back then, Pakistan, led by PCB Hall of Famer Inzamam-ul-Haq, won the three-match series 2-0.

Currently, the West Indies sit at the bottom of the ICC World Test Championship standings, making this series an important opportunity for them to improve their performance. The last time these two teams met in a Test series was in 2021 in the West Indies, where the two-match series ended in a 1-1 draw.

Shan Masood will lead Pakistan, and the team will look to secure their second consecutive home series victory. They previously defeated England 2-1 in a thrilling Test series in October last year.

With a mix of young talent and experienced players, Pakistan is well-prepared to deliver strong performances on home soil. Both teams will be eager to make their mark in the series, setting the stage for exciting cricket over the next few days.
