Muhammad Rizwan Named Pakistan’s Captain for ICC Champions Trophy

Mohammad Rizwan has been named as the captain of Pakistan’s cricket team for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy. This decision was announced as part of the squad selection process. Alongside Rizwan, Salman Ali Agha has been appointed as the vice-captain, taking on a leadership role in the team.

The squad includes three players who were part of Pakistan’s historic title-winning campaign in the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy. These players are Babar Azam, Faheem Ashraf, and Fakhar Zaman. All three played key roles in securing Pakistan’s victory back then, and their experience will be valuable for the team in this tournament as well.

Babar Azam, who has been one of Pakistan’s most consistent and reliable batsmen in recent years, remains an important part of the squad. His presence will provide strength and stability to the batting lineup.

With Mohammad Rizwan leading the team, Pakistan is determined to defend its Champions Trophy title and put up a strong performance in the tournament. The squad is preparing to give its best effort and compete at the highest level, aiming to bring another major trophy home.
