Pakistan is Almost Out of Champions Trophy after 2 Consecutive Losses

Pakistan’s chances of reaching the Champions Trophy 2025 semi-finals are getting slimmer after suffering two back-to-back defeats, including their latest loss against India.

India chased down Pakistan’s target of 242 runs with ease, finishing at 244/4 in just 42.3 overs. The main highlight of India’s innings was Virat Kohli’s brilliant century, which completely dominated Pakistan’s bowling attack.

After the match, Mohammad Rizwan admitted that Pakistan’s qualification now depends on the results of other matches, a situation he finds frustrating. He said he does not like relying on other teams to secure a place in the semi-finals.

Rizwan also praised Virat Kohli’s dedication to fitness and hard work, calling him a great example for any cricketer. He admitted that Pakistan struggled in every area—batting, bowling, and fielding—which led to their disappointing performance.

One of the few positives for Pakistan was Saud Shakeel’s fighting knock of 62 runs off 76 balls. However, India’s spinner Kuldeep Yadav turned the match in his team’s favor by taking three crucial wickets, making it nearly impossible for Pakistan to stage a comeback.

Now, Pakistan has only one game left against Bangladesh. Winning that match is crucial, but even a victory might not be enough. Their fate depends on how other teams perform in the tournament.

With pressure mounting, Pakistan’s players need to deliver a strong performance and hope that other match results work in their favor. Fans will be eagerly waiting to see if they can keep their hopes alive.
