In a groundbreaking agreement, China’s Tiangong Space Station is set to welcome its first-ever foreign astronaut — a Pakistani astronaut!
Following the historic deal signed between China’s Manned Space Agency and Pakistan’s Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission, Pakistani astronauts will be trained by China to travel to the Tiangong space station, orbiting 400 km above Earth.
This partnership, witnessed by Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, marks several milestones: The first time China has helped a foreign nation select and train astronauts.
