Major Surgery? PCB Announces Pakistan Squad for White-Ball Series Against New Zealand

PCB has made bold changes to the national team ahead of the upcoming white-ball series against New Zealand. In a significant shake-up, Salman Ali Agha has been appointed as the new T20I captain, with Shadab Khan as his deputy. Meanwhile, Mohammad Rizwan will continue to lead the ODI squad, with Agha stepping in as vice-captain.

These leadership changes come as part of Pakistan’s long-term strategy, keeping the upcoming ACC Men’s T20 Asia Cup 2025 and ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 in mind. Agha, who successfully led Pakistan in a series against Zimbabwe, now has another chance to prove his leadership skills.
