‘Give me Haris, Shaheen, and Naseem, I’ll Make Them Mega Stars’, Shoaib Akhtar

Former fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has expressed frustration over Pakistan’s inconsistent player selection. He questioned why some players are dropped and then later brought back, saying, “I don’t understand why players are dropped and then brought back.”

Akhtar also shared his confidence in the country’s top pacers, stating that if he had Haris Rauf, Shaheen Afridi, and Naseem Shah, he could turn them into mega stars. He emphasized the need for the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to manage the workload of these fast bowlers properly.

He believes that with the right guidance and training, these three pacers could reach their full potential and become world-class cricketers. Akhtar stressed that Pakistan has great talent, but poor management and inconsistent decisions can hold players back from performing at their best.

He urged the PCB to focus on long-term player development instead of frequently changing selections. According to Akhtar, giving players stability and proper workload management is key to ensuring they stay fit and perform consistently.

As one of Pakistan’s greatest fast bowlers, Akhtar’s comments highlight concerns about the team’s selection policies and player management. His remarks have sparked discussions among fans and analysts about how Pakistan can better handle its young pace attack.
