After a long gap of 15 years, Pakistan and Bangladesh have restarted their Foreign Office Consultative Meetings. This important meeting was held in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. Pakistan’s delegation was led by Foreign Secretary Amna Baloch, while Bangladesh was represented by Foreign Secretary Jashim Uddin.
During the talks, both sides discussed how to improve cooperation between the two countries. They focused on strengthening their relationship, working more closely together, and finding ways to support peace and development in the region. Amna Baloch also had meetings with several important officials in Bangladesh, including the country’s Foreign Affairs Advisor, to further build mutual understanding.
This renewed contact comes after a series of high-level interactions in recent months. These included steps such as making visa rules easier and starting direct shipping services between the two countries. Both Pakistan and Bangladesh have shown a strong interest in improving their ties in several key areas, such as trade, tourism, and cultural exchange. The goal is to build a more positive and cooperative relationship that benefits both nations and the wider region.
