Only 23,620 Pakistani Pilgrims to Perform Hajj in 2025 Under Private Scheme

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has shared an important update about this year’s Haj arrangements. According to the announcement, only 23,620 Pakistani pilgrims will be allowed to perform Haj under the private scheme this year. This is a small number compared to Pakistan’s total quota of 179,210 pilgrims, which has been set for 2025.

The rest of the pilgrim slots have been given to the government’s Haj scheme. This decision has caused concern among many people, especially those who were hoping to travel through private tour operators. The situation has also caught the attention of the Senate Committee on Religious Affairs. The committee is worried about what will happen to more than 67,000 pilgrims who are now uncertain about their travel plans. In response, they have asked the Prime Minister to look into the matter and help find a possible solution.

This sudden change has left many people confused and anxious, especially those who have already made preparations for Haj through private channels. Many are now waiting for further instructions or a possible revision in the policy.

In the meantime, the Ministry is advising all selected pilgrims to stay updated by regularly checking official platforms. Pilgrims should confirm their application status and make sure all their documents are ready. This includes getting the required vaccinations, ensuring their visa is approved, and having all necessary paperwork completed before traveling.

This year’s Haj arrangements are more limited than expected under the private scheme, so it is important for pilgrims to stay informed, follow all official guidelines, and prepare carefully to avoid last-minute issues.
