Windscreen Prices in Islamabad and Rawalpindi Hit Record Highs Following Recent Hailstorm

A recent hailstorm in the cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi caused serious damage to many vehicles, especially their windshields and windows. As a result, a lot of car owners are now looking for new glass parts to fix their cars, leading to a big increase in demand.

Because so many people need replacements at the same time, auto markets in both cities are now running low on supplies. Many shops are struggling to keep up. Shopkeepers say that regular windshields, which normally cost around Rs. 15,000, are now being sold for as much as Rs. 35,000. Even smaller pieces of glass, like side mirrors and window panes, have become much more expensive.

One of the main reasons for this price increase is the shortage of stock. Suppliers have not been able to deliver new orders quickly, and some have even paused their shipments for now. This has made it harder for both shopkeepers and customers to find the parts they need.

Car owners who drive less common vehicles are having an even tougher time. For them, the price of rare windshields has gone up by as much as Rs. 15,000, and in some cases, the needed parts are simply not available.

Overall, the hailstorm has caused not only physical damage to cars but also financial stress for many people who now have to pay more and wait longer for repairs.
