Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research, Rana Tanveer Hussain, attended a landmark event in Lahore over the weekend, serving as Chief Guest at a ceremony celebrating Pakistan’s first-ever export of camel milk powder to China.
The event was organized by ELC Biotechnology (Private) Limited and marks a significant milestone in Pakistan’s expanding agricultural and dairy export sectors. The export initiative is being carried out in collaboration with two leading Chinese firms: The One HK Holding Ltd and Xi’an TUO ZHONG TUO Biotechnology Limited Company.
Addressing the gathering, Minister Rana Tanveer Hussain lauded the achievement, describing it as a major breakthrough for Pakistan’s dairy industry and a testament to the untapped potential of the country’s agricultural sector. He emphasized that, under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Pakistan’s agriculture sector is undergoing revitalization, paving the way for innovation, employment generation, and economic growth.
“This achievement not only highlights our capabilities but also serves as an inspiration for others to pursue international collaborations in emerging sectors,” he stated. “The Ministry of National Food Security and Research is fully committed to supporting such innovative initiatives that enhance exports, create jobs, and strengthen the national economy.”
The establishment of the camel milk powder export venture has already created numerous employment opportunities and represents a major boost for Pakistan’s economy, positioning the country as a competitive player in the niche market of specialized dairy exports.
