India Reportedly to Withdraw from Asia Cup 2025 Amid India-Pakistan Tension

The 2025 Asia Cup, which is planned to take place in India this September, is facing uncertainty. One of the participating cricket boards is considering pulling out of the tournament because of ongoing political tensions with another country involved.

There are also reports that the same board is hesitant about sending its team to the Women’s Emerging Asia Cup, which is scheduled to be held in Sri Lanka this June.

These concerns seem to be influenced by the leadership and decisions made within the regional cricket council. Although no official statement has been made yet, sources suggest that the concerned board has already shared its reservations informally with the event organizers.

The final decision is likely to be taken after the board consults with government officials and other key stakeholders. If the board decides to withdraw, it could affect the overall schedule and participation of teams in both the men’s and women’s tournaments.

As of now, fans and officials are waiting for an official update, but the situation remains uncertain. The coming weeks will be crucial in determining whether all planned teams will take part in the Asia Cup.
