No Ban on Pakistan’s Citizens as Trump Signs Travel Ban Targeting 12 Countries

Pakistan is not included in the list of countries affected by the new travel ban recently announced by U.S. President Donald Trump. The ban, which will officially come into effect on June 9, 2025, blocks entry for citizens from 12 countries, including Afghanistan, Iran, Somalia, and Yemen. The main reasons given for this decision are concerns related to terrorism and protecting national security.

This new travel ban is part of a broader immigration policy introduced during President Trump’s second term in office. It reflects a stronger and more aggressive approach to immigration control. In addition to the 12 countries facing a full ban, partial travel restrictions will also apply to people coming from seven other countries, such as Venezuela, Cuba, and Turkmenistan. These partial restrictions may affect certain types of visas or travel conditions.

However, the U.S. government has clarified that any visas issued before the new policy takes effect will still be valid. This means that individuals from the affected countries who already have valid visas can still enter the United States after June 9.

President Trump said the goal of this travel ban is to stop any possible threats before they enter the country. He believes this move is necessary to keep Americans safe and to prevent people who could pose a risk from crossing U.S. borders.
