These 120 Pakistani Universities Recognized in Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2025

Pakistan has made a remarkable achievement in global higher education by having 120 of its universities featured in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2025.

These rankings recognize universities for their efforts to meet the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), such as quality education, climate action, gender equality, and clean energy.

This year, more than 2,500 universities from 130 countries participated in the rankings. Pakistan’s representation highlights the country’s growing role in addressing global challenges through higher education.

The University of Lahore achieved a historic milestone by securing a place in the 101–200 range globally, setting a strong example for other Pakistani institutions. Many others showed strong performance across various sustainability goals, indicating a wider commitment across the education sector.
