Only 354 of 18,139 Applicants Pass CSS Written Exam

The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has announced the results of the Central Superior Services (CSS) 2025 written examination, showing once again how tough this competitive exam really is.

According to the report, a total of 18,141 candidates applied, but only 12,792 actually appeared for the written test.

Out of these, just 354 candidates passed, which makes the success rate only 2.77%. This figure highlights how demanding the CSS exam is and how only a very small number of candidates are able to clear it every year.

The candidates who have passed the written part will now move on to the interview stage, which is equally important. These interviews will help decide their final selection as well as the groups and services they will be allocated to in the civil bureaucracy.

The process is designed to evaluate not only their academic knowledge but also their communication skills, confidence, and overall suitability for leadership roles in public service.

The CSS exam is considered one of the toughest exams in Pakistan, attracting thousands of aspirants annually. For many, clearing it is seen as a life-changing achievement that opens doors to prestigious careers in government service. However, the results again show that competition is extremely high, and success requires years of preparation, dedication, and consistency.

FPSC has stated that the final merit list of successful candidates will be announced after the completion of interviews. Until then, the written qualifiers await their turn to prove themselves in the next and most crucial stage of this challenging journey.
