Sindh Government Announces Donation of Five Months Salary to Support Food Victims

Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori has announced that he will donate his salary for the next five months to help people affected by the recent floods. He said that this step is part of his personal commitment to stand with the victims during this difficult period and to support them in every possible way.

To make the relief work more organized, the Governor is setting up a special relief cell at the Governor House. This unit will work to coordinate assistance and ensure that help quickly reaches those who need it most. According to the announcement, trucks carrying relief goods will soon be sent to the areas hit hardest by the floods.

Governor Tessori also appealed to the people of Karachi, especially the business community, to come forward and contribute generously for the flood victims in Punjab. He reminded everyone that national unity is essential at such times, and that Pakistan must work together to overcome the challenges caused by natural disasters.

He further highlighted that the floods are a reminder of the urgent need for long-term solutions, such as better water storage systems and serious action to address the impacts of climate change. Earlier, the Governor had also called for an All Parties Conference, urging political leaders to put aside differences and collectively find ways to tackle Pakistan’s climate and flood crises.
