Here is iPhone 17 Series’ Expected Price in Pakistan

The much-anticipated iPhone 17 series was officially unveiled earlier this week, introducing four models — the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and the all-new iPhone 17 Air, which Apple has dubbed the thinnest iPhone ever. While the devices are yet to officially arrive in Pakistan, early estimates have provided a clear picture of their expected prices once local taxes and retailer margins are added.

Price Breakdown for Pakistan

The base iPhone 17 carries a price tag of $799 in the US, which converts to Rs. 226,913 at the current exchange rate (1$=284 PKR). After adding Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) taxes — approximately Rs. 128,766 on passport registration and Rs. 154,293 on CNIC registration — the cost reaches around Rs. 355,679 to Rs. 381,206. Factoring in retailer margins, the phone is expected to retail between Rs. 360,000 and Rs. 400,000 in Pakistan.

The iPhone 17 Air, Apple’s slimmest iPhone yet, is priced at $999 in the US, equivalent to Rs. 283,713. With PTA taxes ranging from Rs. 151,322 to Rs. 175,949, the expected final price in Pakistan will likely fall between Rs. 450,000 and Rs. 500,000 after retailer margins.

Moving to the higher-end models, the iPhone 17 Pro is priced at $1,099 in the US, converting to Rs. 312,112. After taxes of Rs. 172,789 (passport) and Rs. 210,317 (CNIC), the cost stands at roughly Rs. 484,901 to Rs. 522,429. With local margins included, the iPhone 17 Pro is expected to hit shelves at Rs. 500,000 to Rs. 550,000.

Finally, the top-tier iPhone 17 Pro Max comes in at $1,199, or Rs. 340,512. With PTA taxes of Rs. 182,710 to Rs. 213,631, the total lands between Rs. 532,222 and Rs. 554,143. Retail prices in Pakistan are therefore expected to range from Rs. 550,000 to Rs. 600,000.

Additional Factors to Consider

It is important to note that these estimates apply only to the base storage variants. Higher-capacity models will carry significantly higher price tags due to both Apple’s pricing structure and additional customs duties. Furthermore, retailer margins in Pakistan can vary, leading to differences in final retail prices across stores.

Consumer Outlook

Despite the steep costs, Apple’s iPhone models traditionally attract strong demand in Pakistan, especially among premium smartphone buyers. With the introduction of the iPhone 17 Air, Apple is also looking to appeal to customers who value design and portability alongside performance.

While no official release date for the Pakistani market has been confirmed, retailers and online stores are expected to open bookings shortly after the devices become available in the UAE and other regional markets.
