Punjab Govt Raises Monthly Fees for Schools Across Punjab

The Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) has announced that it will be increasing the monthly fee structure for its partner schools. This applies to schools working under the Foundation-Assisted Schools program, the Education Voucher Scheme, and the New School Program.

The new fee rates will officially start from September 2025. According to PEF, the adjustment has been made to help schools deal with rising expenses, including higher operational costs and the impact of inflation. By revising the fee structure, the foundation aims to ensure that schools can continue to function properly and provide a stable learning environment for students.

Under the revised plan, monthly fees will now range from Rs. 800 for students from Nursery up to Class II, and gradually increase to Rs. 2,200 for Intermediate Science students. This change is meant to create a fair structure that considers the different educational levels and resources required at each stage.

In addition to fee adjustments, PEF has also instructed partner schools to revise teacher honorariums. The idea is to make sure that teachers are supported fairly for their work and dedication. By doing so, the foundation hopes to improve not only the quality of teaching but also the overall learning experience for students.

PEF emphasized that these steps are being taken to balance the needs of schools, teachers, and students. The foundation believes that maintaining quality education requires supporting staff while also keeping education accessible for families.
